Founded in 1910 as “Zelzah Station,” this Southern California community officially became Northridge in 1938. Today, it’s a bustling Los Angeles suburb in the San Fernando Valley, filled with opportunities and places to explore!

Going out for the evening? Check out one of the area’s numerous restaurants—you’ll find cultural cuisine, indie cafes, and your favorite chains all nearby. Then catch a dance show, theater performance, or local concert in the park. For an afternoon adventure with friends, the Northridge Mall offers up-to-date movie theaters and stores. The Ventura Blvd. district is another great spot to discover small boutiques, specialty shops, and sidewalk cafes.

Looking for some athletic fun? The Northridge Recreation Center provides you with an indoor gym, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, a heated seasonal swimming pool and a soccer field. No matter what brings you to the neighborhood, chances are good you’ll find plenty to love!

Beyond the Neighborhood

While there’s much to see and do within just minutes of your own front door, sometimes you need to travel beyond the neighborhood. If your daily commute takes you into Los Angeles, the 101 (Ventura Freeway) and 118 (Ronald Reagan Freeway) are both easily accessible from The Villagio Apartment community. Three more freeways also intersect in the San Fernando Valley, making it an ideal place to live and work!
